true size: heel to toe it fits perfectly, but slightly a little loose around the ankle. It would be okay if you wear a sock with them. 

go down a size: heel to shoe feel tight, and ankle is tight! To us, going down we felt as though our foot was “more secure”. 

if you are in between sizes go down!
